A great pair of vintage snowshoes. These Snocraft wooden snowshoes were most likely made in 1943 in Norway Maine for the 10th Mountain Division, during WWII. Made of rawhide and wood, they are in beautiful condition. Original stamp on each one is marked and made by "SNOCRAFT INC. NORWAY MAINE U.S.A." There are some minor scuffs to the leather surface (see photos & enlarge for further details on condition). Leather bindings are flexible & remain soft. Original item invoice numbers are also both still visible: #17308 & #21942. 55" long, 10.5" wide, and less than 3lbs each. These are a great WWII collector's item, but they are also ready to hang on the wall of any ski lodge or slip onto your feet if you get snowed in!
